Some people simply cannot comprehend that when a person treats them with respect and expresses positive attitude towards them does not mean that they have the right to use and manipulate them.

These are also the people who have wiped their feet on you a hundred times before, thrown you under the bus and those the closest to you – and they still think that they can continue doing this.

They are adept at playing the victim. The thing is, at hundred and first time, this trick no longer works.

drabble, true love

By Maira Bakenova

The moment we meet starts the countdown to forever. It’s the kind of love that holds no if’s but one. It’s the I do anything for you and you for me; it’s giving you anything you ask for, from our walks together in the mountains to the midnight snacks and holding you […]

Empty, no feelings, no reason to live –

That’s what you’re saying, but try to get this:

When one declares lies to be true,

He hurts so badly – they’re still coming through.

The more you’re running away from the light

Back to the darkness that’s creeping inside,

The more you’re dying and hitting the wall –

Now all is nothing, nothing at all.

The mask that you’re wearing – you think it can help?

Whatever behind it – run or you’re dead.

The person you think is caring the most

Is using your loneliness ‘till next comes across.

The pain that you’re nurturing, the poison you give –

They can’t be hidden – that’s what you keep.

Until you are better, when shades are destroyed,

I hope some time later, you’ll know where to go.

“Indifference and neglect often do much more damage than outright dislike.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Don’t waste time on those who don’t deserve it,

Don’t confuse friends with those who exploit.

There are no one-sided relationships –

These are regret, subjection and void.

On the outside you look like you’re content,

Noticing small things, you’re keen to spread joy.

Take some pride in yourself and accept that

You are nobody’s gutless toy.
